Fw: Smells to Diagnose illness ?

I wrote a post once about how I wish I could invent a Tastera here. Today I read something interesting on thread about how this nurse is able to diagnonse her husband's parkinson disease by a smell 10 years before he was diagnosed. This also reminds me of another thread which I read from another person about how she is complaining about how smelly his father is! For the latter they'd already taken the dad for a medical checkup and the doctor was saying it is all fine. Interestingly the nurse thread revealed that she was able to identify the illness as early as 10 years before the hubs were diagnosed. Amazing discovery I'd say. Follow on threads mentioned that apparrently there is also a cancer smell and mentions of dog training. If this is something that is materialised I think it would be revolutionary. Will it materialised? I am not too hopeful because sadly what moves forward in this world is what brings money and not necessarily betterment of humankind. I do hope that there are proper research made on the subject though and a reliable systems can be derived out of this.
