Few weeks ago I was quite upset as the new shirt I bought were stained with oil (cooking oil). I have washed it two times since but the oil stain still there and didnt even fade.
It was unfortunately stained at such glaring place, which made it unwearable. I was already going to throw the blouse away in the bin - then, I thought about googling on the net to see if there is any way to mend it.
Lucky me, i found a few sites and they all gave same recommendation - to clean it with dish washing liquid.
I was quite sceptical and didnt expect much when I tried the method. But surprise surprise, it work wonders!
So I am sharing it here so that you folks can try it as well:
1. Get a Dishwashing liquid. I just use Sunlight
2. Spread it over the stain area
3. Wash the clothes as usual at the highest temperature the cloth can withstand , with Oxy type fabric cleaner. Note: For cotton type of cloth you can go up to 40degrees if color and upto 60deg if white.
That's it!

Oslo
'oslo map', oslo, travel 0
My oslo guide.
I only spent one day there, and my short visit was cramped with all the places where I can take photos. The objective - to try see as much as possible and take as many as possible nice photos.
Btw I was there on a sunday so there was not much on the retail front - In a way it is a blessing on its own.. cos kalau tak rasanya tak sempat pegi banyak tempat ... gagaga
Anyway I took the earliest train from Sandefjord. The journey from Sandefjord to Oslo should actually take around an hour and half.
Arrived at Oslo Sentralstasjon
I decided to purchase the Oslo pass, with it I get free entry to most of the museums and take any of the public transportation. It is NOK230 for 24 hours - which I reckon is a good deal.
Armed with the map and Oslo pass, I started walking towards Akershus and Fortress & Castle - the one place that made me decide to visit Oslo. It is probably the oldest area of Oslo dated back to 1200. The medieval castle is amazing, and definitely is a must visit if you are in town. Around the area there are also the Army Museums, the fortress and when you look down towards the sea,, you'll see the largest ever made Ship docked just right there.
Digressing a bit, the ship is H.U.G.E, eight storey high, and probably bigger than the building where I worked at here in KL. I wished I had time to go on it, it shuttles every Thursday nights to Germany from Norway.
Back the Akershus area, I walked down thru Christiana torv to the City Hall. Nothing of interests there. Its like any other quey Ive seen so didnt spend much time there. Took the next boat going towards Bygdøy. I went down at the first stop and walked towards Norsk Folkemuseum. It was an uphill walk, very very tiring - I shouldhv waited for the bus but I was racing with time (it was already near noon, and I had only visited one place), so anyway, it took a good 15 mins walk UPHILL before reaching the Folkmuseum. It was totally worth the walk though - it was such a nice showcase of Norfolks houses and community in the olden days. Also a must visit to me.
By the way sebab dah penat when reached Folkmuseum I had short coffee break at the nice cafe - and studied the timetable for the buses. So I timed myself to finish off the folkmuseum in time to catch the bus outside.
Very smart move - cos just nice as I walked out, the bus arrived. Took the bus to the Viking Ship Museum. The Viking Museum is unique on its own, it houses three viking boats, which is pretty amazing. To see that those days they travel miles in that thing. Viking boat has a very unique characteristic, and can easily be recognised by its shape.
Moving on from the Viking Museum, I went to the Frammuseet. Again, the museum housed a ship - this time it is the Polar Ship FRAM - which is the very first ship that had crossed the Antarctic waters. You can go into the ships and see the cabins and all. It is surprising to see how compact it is but I guess voyages like that werent really meant for holiday goers, more for people who make histories ;) There are three museet altogether there, the Fram, Kon-tiki and Norsk Maritime. I didnt bother with Norsk maritime, and Kon-tiki to me is nothing spectacular, maybe because I was in such awe with FRAM and Viking museums.
From there I took the boat back to City Center. The last must-see on my list is Vigeland Sculpture Park (Vigelandsparken) [F3 on the map]. I took the tram which is great transportation for tourist like me. It was kinda crowded on the tram. But my oh my, nothing had me prepared for the MASSIVE crowd I see at the park. At first, I was thinking to myself, so here is where all the Norwegian people - they flock the park on weekends. But my thoughts were quickly re-aligned when I see that there is actually some kind of event happening there. What a bummer. With soooo many people there I couldnt get nice shots, in fact I didnt even bother going close to the pole.
Didnt spent much time there since nothing much I can do. Decided to go back to city center and exploring the City hall, Royal Palace and Johans Gate area. City Hall as mentioned earlier was nothing to shout about. Royal Palace looked nice, but I was already quite tired by then so only glimpse of it from Karl Street, which is a nice place to be if you are in town. This is the happening part of the town with swanky restaurants and bars like HRC. Though it was only early evening, I could tell the place is a popular spot for tourists and locals as well perhaps.
Leading away towards the Oslo SentralStasjon is Johans Gate - where retail lovers could be spending chunks of their time. Sadly it was a sunday, no shops were not opened. I still could not comprehend why would shops be closed on what could potentially be the most lucrative day of the week... sigh..
With the shops closed, I covered Johans gate pretty fast which is a shame. All is not totally lost though, since one or two souvenir shops are still operating - and selling wayyy cheaper things than in Sanderford.
Last stop of the day - from there I hunted the nearest halal food outlet (which is quite a number and it is listed in the Oslo Guide), to have my dosage of meat. How heavenly... :))
There goes my Day trip to Oslo. Overall I think I covered a fair good amount of places and I was happy that I made the effort to go to Oslo. Certainly wasnt disappointing !

Nasi Goreng Kampung
'nasi goreng kampung', recipe 0- Rice
- Ikan Bilis
- Bawang merah
- Bawang putih
- Belacan
- Chicken (cut in very small pieces)
- Sayur (usually Kangkung)
Ikan Bilis, peeled
If you like spicy, then go crazy on the bird chillies. Otherwise about 15 pieces is enough.
WHen all your ingredients are done, lets start the cookin.
With the same oil, sautee the things we pounded.
Add the chicken pieces. I think prawns will also substitute nicely
Once its a browning, put in the rice. Keep stirring to mix it well. Once it mixes well, put in the kangkung, and some of the fried ikan bilis. Keep turning until the kangkung and rice looks well cooked like below
Thats it. I usually like to put lots and lots of ikan bilis. Yum.

Sausage in Breadroll
fingerfood, recipe 0Darn those lil bratz, each time I watch Junior Masterchef I feel hungry - not just for food , but hungry to cook.
Yeah sounds far-fetched kan, but seriously, I dont know why after I watched the show mesti rasa berkobar-kobar nak make something.
So last night when watching one of the re-runs I made Sausage in a rolling bread.
Before you get ideas thinking that I was so inspired that I managed to think of creative ideas like this, no, I am not that creative, I actually had something like this served to me on FLNG project breakfast. Of course mine didnt turn out exactly the same, but bolehla.. kalau dalam exam boleh dapat 70 over 100 la kot...
Anyway. Shame on me, I didnt snap photos of 'the making of great sausage in rolling bread' so I'll try my very best to describe as detail as I can.
What you will need is just those little sausages, bread (loafs), eggs and salt.
1. Beat the eggs and add a bit of salt
2. Put in the bread (soak on one side only)
3. Put the sausage in the bread and roll it over
4. Lightly grease a flat pan on low fire
5. Put the rolled bread on the pan , with the joined part of the roll at the bottom. This is to seal the bread so that it doesnt fall apart.
6. Then slowly just cook the other parts of the bread until all cooked
I think the one I had at the breakfast thingy was not made with eggs, but I dont know what else would bind the roll together so if you have any other ideas, please share it with me.
anyhow, this is how it turned out (ignore the rolled eggs next to it, dah terlebih so I just made a roll).
Treat to myself
"klipcsh S4", toys 0Its been a while since I treated myself to some goody.
I have been deliberating on this one, knowing that the hefty price I pay sometimes may not get me what I wanted.
I am talking about getting me a new set of earphones to replace the battered, sad looking standard ipod earphones of mine.
See what I mean?? Ganas sungguhlah saya :P
Anyway, so I have been looking around online, reading reviews here and there to find me one.
But buying earphones are like buying food. One person's honey can be another person's poison. I cant 100% rely on the reviews I read. We all have different taste in music and we all have different preferences in sound.
What made it hard is that most places I went to wont allow me to listen to the earphones unless I paid for it already. I am sure most of you experimented the same. But fret not - luckily I stumbled upon this forum - headjam.org which is a forum site initiated by Jaben Audio.
Jaben Audio started by selling their goods through online forums and websites, and now they actually have a store (shop) set up in SS15 Subang. The full addy is 65A Jalan SS15/8a, SS15 Subang Jaya. Its just right opposite Asia Cafe, same row as Stackbucks.
For those who are thinking about getting yourselves new sets of phones, I highly recommend you hop in there for a visit. They carry a good range/variety and allow you to try them out. Their service is really friendly and superb, and pricewise is also competitive. Cant find a fault here.
I was there and have tested a few .. Sennheiser CX300-II.. Denon 560..Shure... Hippo and few others. In the end the Klipsch S4 won me over, hands down. I actually quite like the way sennheiser fits into my ears, but their mid too much for my liking. I tested with a few range of songs and Klipsch has the best balance.
Of course it can be a pain to insert in and out - especially with my scarf on but what the heck, I think I prefer good sound more than anything.
Btw I also learnt that they have these headphone amplifiers, which is a great thing to have when you are in noisy area. It surely bumped up the sound a notch or two making you loose all those noisy backgound without having to turn up your vol to the max. Ken gave me one as complimentary since he cant knock down few more $$ of the Klipsch for me.
Its a FiiO, of course it kinda reduces the fine sound you are getting if you were connecting direct with your earphones but its expected, given that its a cheapo amp. We'll see .. if I like it enuff maybe I'll splurge for a good one.
All in good time. :)
That thing that puts a smile on me face.... ahaks.
The box. The package comes with 3 sets of buds, the ephones of course, and a hard case
The amp

My cheating guide to Crème caramel
'Crème caramel', recipe 0In my previous post on how to make Crème caramel, I was given the original recipe to make it right from scratch.
But being hopeless and malas, so here I come with a new post on how to make crème caramel in shortcut.
So, what you need this time - of course - a Caramel mix
I bought this one in Abu Dhabi, it is sooo cheap over there, it costs me only around RM1 for this box. Menyesal tak beli banyak2... cos it is actually quite nice and sooo easy to make. All you need is the mix and 500ml of fresh milk.
Inside the mix you should have two sachet, one is the sugar and the other is the mix
Start with heating the milk (btw for this particular mix I need 500ml but you should check on the box of the one you buy to know how many ltrs of milk you need).
heat in low fire tau
When it is lightly boiled, add in the mix
kacau- kacau.... kasi mix well
When it is lightly boiled, turn off the fire.
Prepare the bowls. I am opting for small bowls so that I dont have to eat all in one go. My Fluff tak suka makan, so kena makan sorang2 huhuhu
Put in bit of the sugar/syrup in the bowl
Then add in the creme caramel on top
Finally, keep cool. I put it in the fridge... cepat and ready to eat in 20 mins.
Ayam Goreng Kunyit
"ayam goreng kunyit", ayam, recipe 0Okeh, hari ini mari kita memasak Ayam Goreng Kunyit.
The beauty of ayam goreng kunyit is that it is an extremely easy dish to make, and it is very flexible, in the sense that you can basically mix and match the add-on ingredient to accompany the ayam.
For today's recipe, I am accompanying it with Potato(my all time favorite), baby corn and carrots.
Ok so basically what you need, is of course la ayam. Cut it into really small pieces, like bite sizes.
Put a bit of turmeric powder and salt
And mix it well macam kat bawah ni.. you know like as if you are going to do ayam goreng
Put the ayam aside to let mix well, then work on other ingredient.
A few onions, garlic and ginger.
Slice thin. Separate out the sliced big onion, cos that will go in later towards the end.
Slice thin baby corn and carrots. You could have them in small cubes as well if you like, ikut suka
and lastly, potato. I sliced them and fry them first separately. After it is cooked, take it out and put aside.
Start with cooking the chicken, once it is slightly cooked, add in the onion, garlic and ginger
When the onion is yellowish, and fragrant, add in the baby corn and carrots
Mix them well, then add in the sliced large onion. Add in salt to taste
And finally just before you take it out, add in the potato that was already cooked earlier.
Thats it! easy peasy.
